From Monday 19 February, the 1500 journey from Tonbridge to Sevenoaks will depart at 1450 and will run 10 minutes earlier throughout arriving in Sevenoaks Bus Station at 1522.
Route S11 will be withdrawn after operation on Friday 9th February 2024.
This route has been operated commercially by Go Coach for a number of years but loadings have been gradually declining recently. We only survive if we take enough through the ticket machine to cover our costs but this route has been costing us money every day it runs and we took the unpleasant decision to cut our losses and withdraw the service.
This should have happened at the end of the Autumn Term but we were asked by KCC to continue until the February half term to give them time to see if they could find alternative travel for those students affected.
There are alternative bus routes provided by Red Route (services 308 and 408) from the West Kingsdown and Borough Green areas to and from the schools and enquiries should be made to them on 01474 353896.
We are expecting some severe delays for the 6-8 weeks of works by Southern Gas Networks in the Sundridge area. Whilst we will do all we can to minimise delays, some buses may run very late or be cut at short notice.
We apologise in advance for the inconvenience to our customers attempting to use routes 1, s7 and TW4 which will inevitably be caused by these works.
To try and mitigate the delays on Route TW4, although the morning service will run to normal line of route, the afternoon journey will head straight towards Westerham when it comes off the A21.
Passengers for Chipstead Corner and Riverhead are advised to use the TW1 or TW6 services from Tunbridge Wells. Passengers for Witches Lane or Bullfinch Lane should remain on the TW4 and it will serve these points on its return from Westerham.
We shall advise of any variation to this by notices by hand and on our web site.
