Service Updates Last updated: Friday, 31 October 2025 11:50 AM

Back to everything running to a schoolday timetable

Following two weeks of various alterations to different services on different days due to schools taking their Autumn breaks at different times and for different lengths, all our bus services revert to a normal school day operation from Monday 3rd November.

Please see separate Service Update for diversions affecting s2 and TW3 in Otford and the continued closure of Sevenoaks High Street (due to reopen on 8th November)

Whilst we try and keep everyone informed and updated with the short term alterations we sometimes have to make to our bus services with the information provided to us, sometimes works take place either without proper authorisation or with retrospective permissions being granted and the first we find out is when the bus driver is faced with a closed road in front of them.

Rye Lane Closure

Due to drainage works taking place the section of Rye Lane between Willow Park and Pilgrims Way West is closed to all traffic from Monday 3rd until Wednesday 19th November.

Bus services will be diverted as follows:-

S2 will use Pilgrims Way West and will NOT serve Telston Lane or Willow Park

TW3 will not be able to serve Otford High Street, Pilgrims Way West, Telston Lane or Willow Park and will wait its time at Otford Pond.

We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause

KCC Travel Saver Tickets

The period of grace to allow time for the distribution of passes at schools has now ended.

From Monday 15th September onwards ALL users of our services will be expected to scan a pass or pay a fare for their journey.

Any user who cannot scan a pass or pay for their journey will be refused travel.

If you were late in applying for your Travel Saver Ticket and have not yet received it, you must ensure you have sufficient funds with you to pay for your journey until you do get it. Our drivers will not accept emails/letters as evidence of pre-payment, if the ticket does not scan on the ticket machine it will not be accepted and a cash/contactless payment must be made for that journey.

Fares on School Services are £5.00 Single or £8.00 Day Return if paying by cash. This is reduced to £3.70 per journey if paying by contactless card each time you board.
